Wooden Animal Advent Calendar With a Daily Story for Toddler Countdowns
The usual advent calendar leaves toddlers out of the countdown entirely. Tiny candies and fiddly pieces don’t suit a two year old. Open a window, meet a chunky animal, and hear a short story at bedtime.
This calendar has 24 illustrated windows, each with a chunky wooden figure behind it. The set includes farm and forest animals, a snowman, a horse and a fir tree. A story booklet gives each day its own chapter.
The booklet has 24 chapters and daily questions that practice matching and early reading. A fold out 3D winter backdrop with colorful illustrations gives the figures a setting for role play. The finished scene grows each morning.
The wooden figures make lasting keepsakes that work for play throughout the year. The calendar measures about 12 inches wide and 16 inches deep. Plus, it suits kids ages 2 and up and needs no batteries.
