This solar repeller waits quietly until its sensor detects motion. A built in PIR sensor covers 170 degrees and reaches up to 70 feet. Once it senses movement, it sends out an ultrasonic sound for 2.5 seconds.
The unit stays in standby mode until an animal enters the sensing area. Solar power drives the unit, and batteries or a cable can supply it too. It can sit on a roof or be pushed into the ground.
The PIR sensor needs a clear view, so keep it uncovered for detection. Face the unit toward the spot where animals usually enter. That placement gives the sensor the widest view of the whole area.
